Michael Belfiore, Chief Executive Officer
 

Michael Belfiore is the founder of First Empire Securities and Chairman of the Board of First Empire Holding Corp. In the 30 years following the opening of the fixed income broker-dealer First Empire Securities, he expanded the firm’s national footprint and oversaw the development of the First Empire family of companies. In 2013, Mr. Belfiore sold the company to his employees through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). 

 

Tom O’Neill, Vice Chairman

Tom O’Neill is Vice Chairman at First Empire Securities, leading the firm’s debt capital markets and specialty finance businesses. An industry veteran with more than 40 years experience, he was the founding principal of the investment banking and brokerage firm Sandler O’Neill + Partners. Prior to joining First Empire, Mr. O’Neil founded The Kimberlite Group and served as its CEO. He also previously served as Chairman of the broker-dealer First Allied and the Ranieri Partners Financial Services Group.

 

Stephanie Rella, Chief Operating Officer

Stephanie Rella is the Chief Operating Officer of First Empire Securities and its affiliates. She serves on the Board of Directors of First Empire Holding Corp. Ms. Rella oversees all operations of the firm and its affiliate companies, and has spearheaded the firm’s recent national growth campaign, which includes an expansion of services and the opening of offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, TN., and Jersey City, NJ. Ms. Rella holds Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

 

John Foley, Managing Director, Sales and Distribution

John Foley is a member of First Empire's Board of Directors and is the National Sales Manager for First Empire Securities. He oversees a nationwide sales staff and coordinates their continued training and development. With more than 30 years experience in the institutional fixed income market, he believes in taking a balance sheet management approach to addressing the needs of institutions. Mr. Foley holds his Series 7, 63, 24 and 53 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Joseph Oricoli, Managing Director

Joseph Oricoli is a member of First Empire's Board of Directors and serves as the firm's primary relationship builder assisting in the strategic diversification of products and services offered by First Empire's family of companies. He oversees First Empire Securities' trading departments, including the institutional and proprietary desks. He also serves as the Managing Director of LPC Services and is President of First Empire Asset Management. During his 40+ years as a senior executive, he was integral in growing out significant businesses for Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, CS First Boston and Lehman Brothers. He holds Series 7, 63, 24, 53 and 66 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Gina-Marie Accolla, Chief Compliance Officer

Gina-Marie Accolla is the Chief Compliance Officer at First Empire Securities and First Empire Asset Management. She has served as the Chief Compliance Officer for the firm’s broker-dealer since 1994. Prior to this position, Ms. Accolla was a Securities Compliance Examiner with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Accolla graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in finance from Long Island University at C.W. Post and holds Series 7, 63, 24 and 66 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
